S.Simkaus Street, Northern – western part of the city

Planned int the 18th century and named Palanga Street nex to 1939. In the Soviet year (now S. Simkaus Street and I. Kanto Street) named M. Melnikaite Street. The hero of the Soviet Union Maryte Melnikaite (1923-1943), the name had nothing to do with Klaipėda.
