In the northern corner of the building there is a memorial plaque, written "1923 January 15 Minor Lithuanian and Lithuanian Volunteer Forces entered the Antante-controlled Klaipeda and occupied the French prefecture in this building. Klaipeda region has become part of Lithuania".
