The mound is situated 50 meters from the Smilteles River. The form is irregular quadrangular, 220 x 150 m. The eastern and northern slopes are steeped, the western one is sloping. There is an ancient settlement on the terrace of the mound, dated in the first half of the first millennium (the Iron Age) and the 9-8^th century (the late Iron Age) BC.
