Minijos Street, East – southern part of the city

Originally it was the second one - where it duplicates the current Nemunas street - the street - the road. Existed already in the 19th century In the middle, and for some time was called Hohe Strasse – Aukstoji (High) Street. 1918 - Smiltele was connected with the city, this street (from the pulp mill) to the Smilteles stream named Muhlentor Strasse - Malunu Street. In the Soviet year it was renamed Minijos street.
